A Note From Ari
Making it in the new music business is not about lucky breaks. It’s about hard work.

But you want to work smart. And to work smart you need the knowledge.

The music industry is changing every. Single. Day. As an independent musician, I’m living through it. As the author of How To Make It in the New Music Business, I investigated, researched and learned from the best about what it takes to run a successful music career in this day in age.

Yes, I’ve been managing a successful music career over the past 12 years, but my experience is just one way to make it. I’ve tried to share everything I’ve learned from my experiences and from the research I did for Ari’s Take and the book.

What I realized the most was that because things are changing so quickly, it’s best to learn from those on the ground, currently working in the New Music Business.

You need real-time information about what is happening. Right. Now.

And you should be learning from the best of the best to get the most accurate information.

I’ve conducted hundreds of interviews with experts in the music industry over the past 5 years, writing for Digital Music News, Ari’s Take and for my book, but they’ve all been private, over Skype or in person. I learned so much valuable information, but those interviews were never recorded and shared with the community at large.

I realized that these interviews, ARE the main course. Yes, I passed along a few tidbits here and there in the subsequent articles I wrote, but most interviews lasted over an hour and most of the information just simply never got shared.

And, of course an interview I conducted just a year ago is already out of date because of how quickly things change.

That’s why I started Expert Conversations on the New Music Business.

On February, 25th, 2018 I will sit down, one on one, with top level publicists who work with artists at every stage of their career to discuss How To Get Music Press and How To Land a Publicist
The previous two seminars we held, What Does An Artist Manager Do And How To Get One and How To Book and Execute a Successful Tour were incredible. We had 11 top-level experts representing artists at every stage of their careers from emerging indie acts to superstars.

Here’s a clip from E.C. #1 with Nick Bobetsky of Red Light Management answering an audience member’s question...

Q:
Will I get a replay if I can’t attend live?
A:
Yes! Everyone who purchases a ticket before the event begins will get the replay and all assets directly following the event.
See Inside Previous Expert Conversations:
"When is an artist ready to sign with a manager?"
"How long does it take to break an artist in the New Music Business?"
"What is the difference between fans and consumers?"
"How successful do you have to be before a label  will sign you?"
If you attend the live-stream (from your computer or phone) you can ask questions via the chatbox and the moderator will ask the guests in real-time.

We are leaving 30 minutes for audience questions. Last time we got through everyone’s questions.

If you can’t make it in real time you can send in your questions in advance.
Everyone who gets a ticket before the event begins will receive the full 6-hour replay along with all assets.

The reason we are not structuring this like a panel format at conferences is because I’ve attended most of the music conferences around the world and sat in on countless panels where I walked away disappointed because 4 ‘experts’ chatted about nothing (or insider baseball or patted themselves on the back) for an hour and I got nothing out of it.

The reason I’m conducting these interviews one on one is so I pull out the information that us musicians want. NEED.

It took me years of making tons of mistakes and talking to hundreds of people to learn what I know now. The one thing I desperately wanted when I started my music career (or even as I was working through my career) was to get the answers from the experts. But I didn’t have the access.

I am giving you the access now.

Whatever questions you have on these topics will be answered.

I will make sure to pull out all the most practical advice for the first half hour and then we are leaving a half hour for you to ask any additional questions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why so low? What's the catch?
A: We know that there are lots of people, companies and organizations charging 10x this amount for events just like this one.

We've found that charging this amount weeds out the people who are not serious, but keeps it affordable for most musicians and managers.

And, by keeping the price low, we hope you'll invite your friends and spread the word.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Once the event has begun no refunds will be issued.

If you purchased a ticket by mistake you can email awesome@expertconversations.biz to request a refund before the event has begun.

All ticket holders will receive the full video from the day along with all assets whether you attend live or not.
NEED HELP? Contact us at awesome@expertconversations.biz
Q: Will I get my question answered?
A: We are leaving 30 minutes for Q&A for each expert. No guarantees are made that your question will be answered, but the last session, we had more than enough time for questions from the audience.

We will trade off taking questions from the in-person audience and the live stream audience, and will do our best to get through everyone’s questions.
Q: What if I cannot attend live?
A: All ticket-holders will get a link to watch the full seminar online at your leisure. You will also get access to all of the promised assets.

If you are unsure if you can attend live in LA we recommend you purchase the live stream ticket to watch from home.
Q: Do you have an affiliate program?
A: Yes! If you’d like to help us spread the word (and get paid!) get in touch at awesome@expertconversations.biz
